It worries me that an entire world turned their back on innocent people.
I've been watching a documentary on Auschwitz (probably spelled that wrong). I would hope something like that would never happen again but as human nature is what it is it probably will one day.
I started off by reading Alicia:My story. Learned so much I didn't know before. I mean I wasn't in the dark before but some stuff just didn't click I guess.
I imagine now if someone said I had to register because (say all Christians have to) that I would be smart enough now to say no and hide. And if someone came to the house to say I have to relocate I'd escape. Or if I got a free trip out of state I'd run. Etc.
I don't know. It's like everyone was crazy. Even the people who helped stop it didn't want the Jews. Can't imagine. I really just can't imagine.

I see a Holocaust victim at Starbucks often. He still has the tattoos on his arm. He and his dad were they only two to walk out alive from their group.
It is a big black mark on human history.

You are always welcomed to my state to escape from the horrors of your reality.
I'm with you. I can't imagine it either. Happens to me a lot when I read about or hear about atrocities we commit on each other.
A lot of people register to vote and register to get married but basically there is no special registration for a lot of things. Lately they even stopped giving bicycle licenses because the police do not want to bother recovering bicycles.
Back in the days you had to sign a paper that you were not a member of the communist party. Definitely those who were of the communist party were harassed.
it is amazing how low humanity can sink however we only tend to focus on the negative and disregard all the positive that happens more abundantly.
Given the chance, if there was some kind of alien species out there, I wouldn't mind being abducted and living with them. Seems more sane than humanity as of late.
It's so important to talk about stuff like this and make sure people don't forget what happened.
