Our guests arrived today. Everything was going good until my dad had a choking spell. Worried this was a bad one. It's like something's stuck in his throat but nothing is. He leans over the sink with vomit bile spit coming out.
Told him he should tell his dr about it next time he goes but he seems to think if he doesn't go tonight then it isn't a big deal.
Breathing is a big deal.
I'm in a bad mood now.
he doesn't listen. What if it's a growth inside and they can just snip it and he be fine or it something bad and they can stop it and fix it before something gets out of control.
He doesn't listen. And I worry.

My dad has such breathing problems but he keeps smoking and won't see a doctor probably because he knows what's wrong. It's weird but when he sits sometimes he gets winded and he looks like a fish opening and closing his mouth. That is really frustrating.
as for the choking spells. I remember having one once when I had pneumonia and it was so bad I broke blood vessels in my eyes so the whites of my eyes were red from blood.
@godfatherofgreenbay - sorry about your dad. Sounds like he's just as stubborn as mine. Sometimes I wish I could conk him over the head and make him do what I want him to. I know he hates my worrying. :-/
that must be frustrating
. I hope he gets over his stubborness.
Could be he just has problems with his GI tract. Going to see the doctor is definitely something he should do. Not sure how rest of your family feels, but maybe you should all team up and drag him to see a doctor.
@under_the_carpet - I hope so too. I imagine it's nothing serious but he still needs to find out.
@KnightInCROATIANarmor - that would probably make it worse. He's not big on that at all. He probably won't go until he has to. Which would probably be him passing out.
Why can't he go for a check up? Is he that lazy?
@RulerofMasons - I thinks it's more like denial than laziness. Some people don't believe bad things like diseases can hurt them and if they stay away from the checks then they won't really have it.
@LadyofWaters - Well, I guess you will have to cross your fingers. It might be nothing grave.
Hope your dad will fully recovered real soon.
